The Communist Party of India and Bangladesh (CPIB), often referred to as the Communist Party, is one of the three major political parties in India, along with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress. As of 2040, it is the country's third largest political block in terms of representation in the national parliament and state assemblies. Although the CPIB is technically a coalition of the Communist Party of India and the Communist party of Bangladesh, it operates as a single political party.
